My digicam is working again

Woohooo… my photocam is working again. It always had problems (when shaken or receiving slight bumps from moving it while on the tripod, it would lose power and, upon restart, ask me to set the clock again) but when I wanted to pack it for last weekend I found it to be entirely dead. No matter what I did, it wouldn’t power on and when I tried to open it up, I had to find out that none of my screwdrivers would allow me to rid its casing of the screws holding it together.

Anyway, I took it to work today, hoping to find the right tools to crack it open there and indeed I did. So I tried to get inside (4 different types of screws) but all I managed to achieve was to open the cover for a few millimeters. Suspecting a bad contact, I decided to just fiddle with the internals a little and then try my luck… and boy was I lucky! My beloved Pentax EI-200 is now happily working again. Steltek happy. :)

BTW: For anybody wondering why I didn’t simply buy a new one: If you can name a recent model that recognizes foto orientation (and automatically rotates images accordingly), can do timelapses (take a photo every X seconds automatically) and can embed some text and/or a logo on all images automatically, then please do so in the comments. Without those killer features, I wouldn’t have such a hard time letting go of my baby.
